Alex King is my hero

I’ve been following Alex’s saga with his hard drive recovery efforts, and it motivated me my backup system working again too. Luckily for me that I did that, as my PowerMac G5 had an unfortunate “encounter” with my glass of apple cider :( Needless to say, they didn’t like each other. However, because backups were in place (and spare parts were handy), life has been restored, and all is good.

All I can say is ALEX KING IS MY HERO!!!

Merry Christmas!

Hey everybody! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Happy Bowl Season…. we are anxiously awaiting Nebraska’s appearance in the Cotton Bowl. Being that it’s in Dallas, we would normally go, but we thought the baby might not enjoy it just yet.

We survived Xmas; although we did without many of the decorations I normally put up and never got to the Xmas cards I meant to write, (for which I apologize). Thems the breaks with a little one I guess. Nevertheless, we had a very merry Christmas. Everyone was way too spoiled especially Michael. He especially enjoyed his new train set.

A couple weeks before Xmas Chris got me a “I’m sorry I work too hard” present (or at least that’s what I call it), and thus I began my new life with a Scooba (iRobot’s hard-surface floor cleaner). I love it! It makes cleaning my kitchen so much easier. I am amazes how good of job it does. I think I’m going to have to get myself a Roomba (the vacuuming version) sometime very soon.

Anywhos, back to work. Quickbooks entries are calling my name. (Tip: Do not use Quickbooks while sleep deprived. Your entries will become very off, and it may take days to figure out why you are thousands of dollars off.)

Blessings to you all!

Fevers Suck

Ugh, it’s 2am, and I have a fever…I was freezing cold about 1 hour ago, took some drugs, and now I’m in that “hot” phase and can’t sleep.  Playing a little World of Warcraft.

Fast, Cheap, Reliable - Pick any 2

As I tell my customers: fast, cheap, reliable…pick 2 and I will make it happen.  I frequently, hear from people who sign up, “I had the cheap hosting with company X, and I lost a X dollars deal because I didn’t get an email”.  However, they still don’t want to pay for a cluster.  It always boggles my mind, I guess it is not just me.
